| Replaceable Heads |
|
Archangel heads are glued in place following the preparation procedures and are able to be removed and readjusted if the musician requires either a lesser or greater tuning range. This is a relatively simple operation requiring only the glued edge to be fully moistened with wet towels, after several hours the head could be moved using the tensioning screws, the head could then have light pressure applied in the form of a tight bandage and allowed to dry for 48 hours. The wide range of climatic conditions around the world necessitates such a feature although clients are asked to specify exactly where they will be playing when they order a head; it is felt that placing such a procedure in the hands of the owner allows for greater involvement and is a substantial saving for them had they to return a drum to he maker. This process works equally as well for the musician replacing a head, it is not a hit or miss process, a head can be put on and taken off quite a few times without any detrimental effects, and it thus allows the player to fine tune the instrument to his or her liking |
