Currently available skin types.

Goat - in varying weights - generally a fast, clear, cool toned head with good attack and good sustain. Available in a natural, or finished (not pre-tanned)product.

Kangaroo -  a fast strong head capable of higher tensions and with very good attack----this head gives you the extra bounce for the faster top end sticking techniques----BUT kangaroo has to be very carefully worked up, not something for the maker who just gives his skins a quick wash before stretching on!!!!!!!!!

Calf - If it's that warm, choclate bass your after then calf is the answer, can be a bit fickle and can just let go sometimes when you least expect it, warm with good sustain, a little light on attack unless it's prepared carefully.

Deer - Red and Fallow -  warm, good tonal range, medium sustain and attack. This more of an experienced player's skin for recording purposes.
